Goodbye September + How I got My Pole Dancing On
At the beginning of September I kinda had a little list of “goals” if you will for the month. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself, so it was more so a wouldn’t it be nice if if kinda list. Well some of them didn’t quite get done, but I can check a few off, so I figured I’d share and let ya know what I’ve been into.
So that was the first item on my list. Reading is something that I really love, and it seems that I have less and less time for it. Ok, I have no time for it anymore which makes me a little sad. I finished a book this month! Wahhooo … kinda. I’ve had this book since not long after it’s release, I believe it got it sometime in early 2010.
Ah hahaha. Can you beleive that? Not that I haven’t read anything since then, I most certainly have; this one just kept getting lost in the shuffle. The ridiculous thing is that I had it long enough to have the first printing, and still not have read it by the time the friggin movie hit the theaters earlier this year.
Um, what can I say about it? I abandoned it several times and made myself finish it so I could read the movie. The movie was a lot different in ways (of course), and sadly to say, I almost like the movie better than I did the book. I think that says a lot. Um, the font for the title is really pretty?
Start A New Workout
So I cut this one really close to the end of the month didn’t I? Oh well. Like I said, not to not put so much pressure on myself here. I was teasing my friends via Facebook the other day telling them about how I was starting a new workout and that Le Hubs would have to not be around while I was doing said workouts. The most common guess on what new program I was starting was: pole dancing. Oh friends, I think you’d know me better than that. Do you really picture me twirling around a pole?!
So yes, I’m going to be adding some Les Mills Pump to my routine! Not pole twirling. Sorry guys!
I’ve done the pump challenge workout twice, as well as flow. I’m liking it so far! Next workout I do a longer one, but when I start a new program like this I like to solidify the basics a few times over before I move on. And yes, the husband won’t be allowed in the room – too many dang squats +lunges and I think the sight of that barbell will just thrill him too much.
