Quest Bars + Life As A Busy Fit Mom

It’s baseball season here which means I’m just a wee bit (ok a lot) busier at the moment. I have two boys on separate teams, as I mentioned before when I spoke about my new Reebok Skyscape Runaround shoes. Man, those suckers were appropriately named – because the last month, I’ve felt like a chicken with it’s head cut off considering all the running around I’ve been doing.

The days when le hubs is here early enough to get the kids to a game or practice, I’ve used that to my advantage a few times to sneak in a nice walk down to the baseball park. I’ve said it a million times, but although life is busy for most of us – it just takes a little work to figure out how to work some fitness into your schedule. And sometimes a walk is all you need. Just make it a habit, whatever you choose to do.

Then the other day there was a game I was unaware of – until I ran into the coach at the store, oh about an hour before the game. Doh. Days like these have been making really thankful for my Quest Bars. Noshed on way on the way to the field, which I made it to on time. Boom. Eat your heart own Superwoman, some days I’m a Supermom.

Coffee Break

Between everything I did get a little break yesterday though for my Birthday. Even though my Birthday is actually today (the big 32) – le hubs and I had a nice little coffee date with some reading, and then we had some lunch. We celebrated yesterday because it was my rest day – and then of course there was another game last night. Oh, and yes, another game tonight. Here we go again.

And instead of putting another weird hand shot in this post, I’ll give you a little sneak peek at a recipe coming soon. These were my birthday pancakies I made myself and shared on Instagram today.
